The Pittston Memorial Library 49 Broad Street, will hold a Used Book Sale Thursday October 1st from 1 to 6pm and Friday October 2nd from 1-5pm in the library’s lower level. The city has received a state grant for recycling that has allowed for the purchase of additional curbside residential recycling bins. One (1) free bin may be obtained per residential housing unit at City Hall, 35 Broad Street, during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pm. A printed Recycling Calendar is also available at City Hall.
