Pittston is a city in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, United States, it is situated between Scranton and Wilkes-Barre. Winter Weather Advisory: Residents and motorists are asked to please use caution when traveling during winter weather events. Please allow the Street Department and PENNDOT time to properly plow and treat roadways and stay well clear of street maintenance trucks and equipment. The Code Enforcement Office reminds residents and businesses that Ordinance 1985-9 requires that sidewalks be cleared of snow and treated for ice within twenty-four (24) hours of a winter weather event.

Pittston City officials recently participated in a ground-breaking ceremony at the site of a new Geisinger Medical Clinic Building on North Main Street. The multi-million dollar building will soon be under construction, and when completed, will add a state of the art medical clinic facility in a prime location along Main Street, creating jobs and adding to the city’s tax base.
